Head North into the wild from the mines of Solomon. At the halfway mark, you'll find Thomas giving pointers.
First part of it about Stewart Granger (King Solomon's Mines and The Wild North) Stewart Granger made a number of very exciting outdoor adventure films. The Last Hunt, King Solomon's Mines and The Wild North all appeared when he was at the height of his popularity. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0045329/usercomments http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stewart_Granger Stewart Granger (6 May 1913 – 16 August 1993), born James Lablache Stewart. James Stewart as in our previous clue Solomons mines movie is from 1950 and Wild north is 1952 (although some sites say 1951). If we asssume halfway is 1951 movies are 1) Soldiers Three 2) The Light Torch Soldiers three sounds plausible solution, going by old solutions Soldiers three movie stars all three birds (I mean those with such names) from previous clues – Coot, Pigeon and Martin. A confirmation that 'Soldiers three' is significant. Could mean the third word? http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0044059/fullcredits#cast Thanks Bassborg (Whirlpool) for the following - Further checking, the threee 'birds' are Col. Brunswick (Walter Pigeon), Maj. Mercer (Robert Coote), and Cavalryman (Harry Martin). So the three are Major, Cavalryman and Colonel. So the third could be related to this. Could be Class, Rank, Grade etc May be school theme plays a role here Worth reading about Ranks http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ranks_in_the_French_Army How the Thomas and Pointers are related is yet to be solved fully although there are too many ways to connect.. (Can be seen at Whirlpool). But no acceptable solution yet Last edited by admin : August 7th, 2009 at 08:30 AM. |
