What is the general ratio between page impressions and actualy clicks?

What could a site getting upwards of 30,000 hits a day reasonably expect to make a day?

IMO its very hard to give a generalized answer that how much you will earn with a certain amount of traffic as it highly depends on the genere of your website and the demographics of the traffic that you are getting

30 000 hits a day? You can earn more than 400$ per month.
