Prices for Search Engine Optimization services - Webmaster Forum

What would be considered a fair price for a search optimization service? What is too high? On the flipside, what is too low to be taken seriously?

I don't know for USA, but in Slovenia it cost about 75$.

It is very complex to put a price tag on Search Engine Optimization services, that's mainly why I don't SEO for others anymore.
Some consultant try to measure the traffic that is gained with the Search Engine Optimization, and charge for that. Most set fixed prices for "packages".

I have been quoted thousands of dollars before!

Its probably best to optimise the site content in-house, and then purchase relevant backlinks (as this is the real labour involved).
